NextStop NYC

NYC's Small Business Services is trying to encourage travelers to visit neighborhoods outside traditional tourist spots by "breaking down our City, train line by train line to expose all that's great about New York neighborhoods."

Tracing the F train from Forest Hills (Queens) to Koreatown (by Macy's Herald Square/34th St.), from DUMBO to Cobble Hill (Brooklyn), NextStop NYC highlights where to eat, shop, tour, and take pictures. I won't label this "NYC on the Cheap," because not all the sites listed are free or exciting, but the list is comprehensive. I just might reserve a day to explore some of the free locations myself!
